Hello, i've 2 Beolab 8000 Loudspeakers. One of the speakers don't turn on, only light the red LED. I've tryed to change the loudspeakers and it's worked. So the problem is in the one loudspeaker. I've changed the relais, but don't working.

If you search the forum for Beolab 8000 issues, you should find some previous posts explaining this problem.

If your BL8000's are mk1's,they will have been fitted with black acoustic damping foam. This tends to decompose with age leaving a residue of "beogoo"on the pcb's.This goo is conductive and also corrosive,so it's eats the pcb tracks to the power relay, and can cause problems elsewhere too!

You will need to wash all the goo off the pcb with eg IPA,,and repair the missing/damaged tracks.

Get  as much of the old foam out of the 'speaker as possible, and replace with new.

Nick
