I've been noticing that the prices of Beolab 6000s have been dropping lately. For the longest time they were 800-1200 USD, then about 2017 the average seemed to drop to about 650. In the past year 2018 I've seen a few for 450-475. These are supposedly in decent condition, at least in the photos. Some need new drivers, others appear OK. Any thought as to why prices have plummeted?
Beolab 8000, on the other hand has been strong and steady. About 1300 a while back and it hasn't seemed to have dropped below 1k except for the odd sale around 800. Still very solid after all these years. As for the 6000, I'm seeing quite a few, mostly recently, that need new drivers. Are these units abused? You don't see that with Beolab 4000s, for example...
