I just lost any faifh on new serious B&O products coming.
Could get a Beosound 2 when my Beosound 9000 MK3 breaks or a Beosound 35 if it's still around.
A BS9000 MK4 don't think so even if it could be tempting with Beolab 18.

Yes ...i would i a seckond if it has all modern apps and B&O inovative looks and without SW problems.
If you agree or not BS9000 is a masterpiece of mechatronics. Now you can do it by inserting separate laser under each disk and move clamper arm just to simulate "old" version.
I would love to see a project (similar to that of upgrading the old speakers) where the classic B&O CD players get upgraded with blu-ray players to make them a bit more useful. Of course, they would also need HDMI and ethernet connections for the HDCP updates. For example, my BeoCenter 2 is now useless as a DVD player since my Oppo provides far better upscaled video. A BeoSound 2300, BeoCenter 2, and BeoSound 9000 as blu-ray players would be gorgeous.
It would be great to throw in SACD as well.
Mikipidia:I think they sold most of their tooling/molds for it. Don’t remember where i heard it, but either way there is no real reason to hold on to it for this long and not use it(especially b&o being b&o )
Someone at B&O should have held those molds in their hands to see if they sparked joy.
Launching a new model costs a lot of money and you have to sell a lot of products to get the money back …and earn something. Personally I doubt that it would be possible to sell a lot of mk IV.
But there is much cheaper option as there are a lot of BS9000 in people’s homes.
I would be extremely happy if B&O or someone on appointment of B&O would produce modified PCB 1 (radio) equipped with DAB+ reception.
Then new laser pickup (just pickup) with modified PCB 41 could be produced enabling playing music from DVD/SACD and/or Blue Ray.
Maybe it could be done through crowfunding ?

I love my BS9000, however, barely use it. It's a piece of art at our living room. In the past we used it for radio (missing DAB indeed) and audio master in our ML setup to infuse streaming via AUX in.
I doubt that CD or BluRay or SACD are hot like Vinyl these days and would justify a huge investment. I guess if you could vote for either a new turntable or CD player in any shape I bet the vinyl will win.
it would be tempting....the BS9000 is still really beautiful. I have 2 that I use often, streaming via Apple Airport Express. I would love to use the CD more often but I try not to as finding replacement lasers is such a nightmare. It would be great if they made a new laser and board that could be fitted to all 9000's, then I would play CD's all the time.
Love my BS9000. I would love to have possibilities to connect it to Internet, WiFi, Bluetooth and more input sources like phono.
But I see no market for a rerelease, except maybe 95 restored and updated units for a huge amount of money.

Its funny and part of the human condition to go around in circles I suppose, but I often miss all the older products I’ve owned and want to start buying them all again! Bonkers you might say but I suppose its to do with the uniqueness of them and ultimately, the pleasure I got from them, which was often switching them on and off! Did I really ever need to sell my BS9000, BeoLab 9s and entire cd collection just to replace it with a BeoSound 2 for example? It was a beautiful centrepiece in my old home and the joy I got from just looking at it, let alone using it was significant. OK, much of my decision was based on moving to a smaller property but I still could have found a place for everything I am sure.
Is my BV11 noticeably different to my older BV9 and did I really need to update? Not really, just a slimmer profile and slightly less of a design statement piece. I had the BeoCom 2s, 6000s all of which I now want to buy back! The BeoSound 3 radio which is possibly one of my favourite B&O designs ever and BeoSound 2300 all terribly missed.
Personally, I think the digital age has taken something very special and interactive away from the previous generation of technology and I realise I am a much bigger fan of the former, but as I say, this is the human condition and I suppose its the ultimate personal challenge to find contentment with what you have and to lose the desire to ‘feel’ you have to keep changing or upgrading. In fact, I ‘upgrading’ is an interesting choice of word because in many ways I see the new technology as a downgrade, not as any kind of advance. It depends what you are trying to create doesn’t it? B&O were always so special and while they have struggled in many ways in recent years I thoroughly appreciate everything they have ever produced and so many of their designs and products have given me so much happiness. I really can’t say this about any other company in my lifetime so I will always be a fan of B&O and thank them for so many wonderful years.
It must be incredibly difficult to keep trying to come up with new designs that stand out in this ever competing world but they have done pretty well on reflection, much as I have passionately (and constructively I hope) criticised them in the past. The Harmony is a lovely looking tv for example and completely inline with what I would expect a B&O product to be. It’s far too big for me but I really appreciate the design and effort that’s gone in to producing it.
Keep up the good work and do keep us on our toes for many more years to come I hope.
B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.
