hello beogram fans,
when disassembling a Beogram 3000 5903, I discovered a previously unknown circuit modification.
The change is a supplement with 4 components, (transistor, diode and 2 resistors) Is this an official change from B & O or was someone very creative?
The change is located in the servo control of the tonearm.
I do not know what meaning or reason for this change.

I think this was something to do with blocking the pu arm return drive until the pu arm had raised fully,but my memory is hazey on this.I can't find any tech notes from B&O about it,but it's seen quite regularly with these decks.It was a factory fit mod though.
B&O were (are?) very keen to iron out any glitches with design,and many of these mod's were for rather subtle problems,that we didn't see in the real world!

Thanks for this answer Nick, I also thought that this was a professional change,
you have to have knowledge of the timing of the microprocessor, and the execution was not amateurish consummated !☺
