Hi everyone,

After a very long break, I have started to add new videos to YouTube.  Here is the first one, explaining the options for upgrading a classic B&O audio system to play wireless streaming music from your phone:-

If there are any cabling videos that you would like to see, please let me know!

Next video due this week: Re-purposing a Beolab 3500 as a stand-alone TV speaker/iPod dock.....

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.

Just wondering why you did not mention the B&O streaming devices (Essence, Core...), that - in the same way - can be connected to older B&O gear?

Hi MM,

Good point!  I tried to cover the most popular options, but I probably get asked about Airport Express or Sonos 20 times for every 1 time that someone asks about Essence or Core.  I have added that to my list of future videos to make.....

Today, I have collected a Beolab 3500 mk.1 from B&O Leicester to film my next video guide, which will be how to use Beolab 3500 as a stand-alone speaker with a phone, computer or non-B&O TV, no B&O system required.

Any more ideas for video guides that I should cover?

Kind regards, Steve.

Maybe how to leverage the Line plug of a BL 8000 pair with a non B&O product

Maybe this - is it possible to use the Aux for connecting an external source........when it is already in use for a converter/1611 to ML?

Or - how to use an Active Link box for an external device locally (the PC connection).

Thanks mbolo01 and MM,

Yes, I already have using the Line input of Beolab 6000/8000 on my list of videos to make this month Cool

Using the Aux connection of a 2300/2500 system when a 1611 Converter is connected is straghtforward, you just need a 7 pin Splitter to share the socket:-

https://soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/11-312-7-pin-aux-splitter-dual-aux-tape-input-sockets.html#/20-length-02m

The PC connection to the Beolink Active is also possible via a specially wired cable:-

I will look at adding these to the list of videos very soon!

Kind regards, Steve.
