Hello!
My name is Philipp and i am new to this forum, but not new to the B&O World.
A friend of mine recently gifted me his old Beogram 1600 (along with speakers and amplifier).
Yesterday i realized that the turntable is slightly faster than 33rpm, i would say about 1-1,5 seconds per minute.
Does anyone know if this is normal? Ist there any way to fine adjust the playing speed? Or is it a mechanical issue?
The beogram is in an overall good condition, everything else works fine!
Thanks in advance for any answer!
Kindest regards from Germany
I hope its ok to bump this one.
Thank you very much for your answer again!
“Sadly“ i have the version without the pitcher above the rocker switch. Thats why i thought that maybe there is something like a fine adjustment inside the turntable.
I also thought that the belt might need a replacement...but how do i get inside the device? With my other beogram, i just needed to lift the platter but this one cant be lift somehow...like its stuck or something. Any advices?
kindest regards
Hi,
Yes, there is an adjuster inside all the info is in the service manual
Best regards Alistair
.
Hi!
Thank you very much!
Sadly i cant find a manual for my beogram? Is there anyone who could probably send my a scanned manual?
Also do you know how to open the beogram?
Kindest regards

I have never seen this model but I should imagine it’s the same as the normal 1600 in which case
There are 2 trim pots inside for the 2 different speeds
There are lots of manuals on the site for silver or gold members,
The 1600 is not here look for the 1102 a very similar model
(if it were mine I would also change the belt)
Yes, i want to change the belt as well! But how do i get inside the turntable? Just lift the platter or is there anything i need to "unlock"?
I also added some pictures of the turntable.

Ok, i tried but somehow it is stuck...
I am a bit afraid to damage anything to be honest...the platter on my Beogram 4500 lifted quite easily
It just binds to the subplatter - unless someone glued it (yes, I have seen that!).Keep lifting, using "controlled force".
The handle on the tonearm is not original.Does the tonearm movement and lift/lower work as intended?
I can supply the correct belt.
Martin
Ok, yea it feels like its glued but since i know the pre-owner i highly doubt this...any advice on „controlled force“? :D
Good observation skills! I built the handle myself using a very thin and light piece of metal, just so it ist easier to lift the tonearm while the record is playing. It weighs exactly 0.242g so i adjusted the weight on the tonearm. Works pretty good. Tonearm works perfectly as well.
I will send you a message regarding the tonearm!
Thank you all for your help!
So after working that thing i finally got it off! It was indeed somehow stuck/glued together with i don't know what...
I checked the service manual from the Beogram 1102, so i think the adjustment should be like this? (seen in the image attached)
Fine adjustments
Yes, thats the plan, i already got in contact with him :)

No that is to adjust the cueing point for the 7 inch and 12-inch records.
