Hi

I have recently purchased a 1900 tuner/amp. It was all working fine listening to a cd via the tape socket  (all lights working etc.) then suddenly switched from the cd player to the tuner and will not switch back.

I switched it off to let it cool down, switched it back on, cd was working again but within three minutes it did the same thing, just switched over to the tuner and would not budge.

Can anyone please help me with this, any constructive suggestions would be welcomed.

Many Thanks in advance!

Gary

Replace the low voltage rectifier and the capacitors.

I had the same failure in my BM 2400, I changed all electrolytic caps, some trimmers, rectifier, all lamps and gave it a throughout cleaning, adjusted it, and now it is working like new..

Martin (Dillen) on the forum can provide caps and lamp kits, the trimmers needed (check) and rectifier if needed.

Gracias Amigo,

I had been working with a local trying to find those parts for my original 1900 and 2400 Beomasters.

I'll hand the parts business with Dillen as a fellow Beoworld member.

Gracias Amigo,

The 2400 was one of my first refurbs, not the best one to start with, but with a lot of help from the forum it has been working ever since the last repair.
