I've just bought a pair of Penta 3's with some small dings in their cabinets.
I would like to get some new panels made up locally, but would like to get the correct dimensions for the panels, especially the correct angles for the bends before I go ahead and get the new panels manufactured.
If anyone here has successfully had new panels manufactured, any help in this regard would be much appreciated.

I sent Leslie an email earlier before posting this post, but I haven't received a reply from him yet.
If worst comes to worst I could always get a representative from the sheetmetal company to come around and take the measurements.
It would just be very helpful to get the correct measurements from someone with experience in this matter.

As an alternative, have a look at auto car specialist who work on “classic” Delorean body panels. The Belfast made Delorean had a sanded stainless steel body which was welded I think and initially difficult to work on.
However, a few small Company’s have specialised in fixing dindsans scratches on these panels. I would bet one of these specialists could remove all blemishes and put new sanded/brushed texture for a fraction of newly made panels?

Today I removed the stainless steel from one of my Pentas. I must say that this is a rather difficult task, as those panels were extremely well secured with the double-sided tape that they used!
All of the panels were completely destroyed during the removal process and I really messed my hands up with cute and blisters!
I must say that the speaker actually looks rather cool in it's raw, black finish! As a result, I may consider refinishing them in a black anodised aluminium cladding!
The other speaker will remain in it's original finish for now.
Another thing that I've done is to orientate the tweeters and midranges symmetrically between the two speakers, as having the tweeter towards the inside on one speaker and towards the outside on the other was driving me crazy!

Maybe they should have used the same tape for the glass-panels on the Beocenter 9000/8500/9500 and Beosystems 3500/4500

Yes, I also turned the tweeter panel around on one of my Pentas - I prefer the sound when both tweeters are facing towards the middle, it seemed to sound a bit brighter and more lively.
I am watching this thread with interest as my Pentas are in OK condition, but may need a refresh before too long......
