Hello everyone. The drive belts have completely gone on one of my 8004 cassette decks and the rewind is sluggish or stops altogether when RW or FF an old cassette. Last time I got my belts from Dillon but he doesn't seem to have any listed for the 8004 on Bonanza so here in the US (no I'm not a Yank, I'm a Geordie and proud of it) the only source I can find is on eBay from Portugal.
The problem is neither of my 8004 decks still have the TYPE NUMBER stickers on the rear and I don't know which type number of belt to order - I didn't know there were so many different types. Dillon just sent me belts for an 8004 and they've been great until now, 6 or more years later.
The belt type numbers on eBay range from 4861 to 4867. Can anyone please tell me which belt is the most used or how to determine which type number belts I need. I have searched the net and the service manuals (crappy ones that I downloaded) and cannot find any reference to different belt type numbers.
Thanks in advance for your help. Mike. (Out in the boonies somewhere near to the Colorado Rockies)
I'm still around and I can supply correct belts for most Beocord, Beogram and Beocenter models. For your Beocord I can supply the belt set and also a set with the four idler wheel rubber parts.Email or PM me.
Martin

Thank you Martin. I have sent you a PM. My apologies for my absence, I have been somewhat ill, but at my age I guess it is only to be expected now and then.
My best regards as always,
Mike.
