Hey guys
I am enjoying my new Beoplay A9 MKII a lot, but i'm curious to know if I can connect my turntable to it? Maybe through an amplifier, and if so, will it work well or isn't the A9 suitable as a speaker for a turntable?

Hi and welcome to Beoworld,
your turntable must have a preamp (RIIA preamp) either built-in or added.
Depending on the output connection, you will need a ? to a minijack cable.
N.B. There are settings in the app for the A9 to adjust the sensitivity of the line-in port of the A9.
This line-in port has autosense, which means that it will seitch to the input, once the music from the turntable starts.
If you have further B&O devices (NL devices on the same network) you can listen to the turntable from those, too.

My turntable is a Music Hall mmf 2.3, and it doesn't have a built-in preamp..
Should I then invest in a amplifier with build-in RIAA or should i just go with a external preamp like the one you suggested or the Music Hall mini 2 phono preamplifie

All you need is the RIAA preamp, no further preamp/amp.
The A9 has built-in active speakers, so it only needs a line signal.
The easiest thing to do, is to send Steve (SoundsHeavenly) a mail and explain what you have and want to do.
I am pretty sure he has the right solution cables inclusive.
Also name the lenght of the needed cable.
