There are three types of the big 5000 speaker. The one you picture is the mark 1 and is good but needs the cubes as the tweeters, being cones, are very directional and will have quite a small sweet spot. The mark 2 tries to get round this by having two angled cone tweeters - you don't see that many of these - the picture on site is a pair I thought of buying but they are not as nicely made as the mark 1s - and you have the mark 3s. The last have the advantage of dome tweeters so have much better treble spread - Frede thinks these are the best - they can still be used with cubes though the benefit is probably more aesthetic as well as giving you the chance to spread the sound stage - mine sound a bit dull so probably need new capacitors etc. The midrange unit is oval which makes repair a bit more interesting!

Could there be a promlem with these mid's? I dont know yet witch type they are... They were offered to me as Beovox 5000...

Bass elements, rubber, paper...?

The oval drivers on my Mk3s needed repairing and needed new surrounds. Oval ones are tricky to find but Recone adapted some specially. Have a look and listen if you can - they could be fine.
