Hello all, hoping somebody can answer if you can buy a converter which go's from a VGA to HDMI.

An engineer's coming to put a Sky Q box and we have a 50" Plasma Type 8973 without the HDMI connection.

Kind Regards Pete .

Do you mean hdmi (the Skybox output) to DVI (the TV input)?

If so, the limitation that you will have is that hdmi carries the sound as well as picture, whereas DVI is picture only.  You can buy an hdmi audio extractor that will extract the audio signal from the hdmi connections, whereupon you can pass this signal to an audio device, or a separate analogue sound input on the TV.

After the audio extractor, you can simply use an hdmi to DVI lead.

Here's the audio extractor that I use for a similar setup: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00NAJ4UM2/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
