Evening All.

Is it possible to run Passive speakers from a set of Beolab 2500s?

Unit is a Beosound 2300 for reference.

The passive speakers would also be in a different room.

Not sure, what you are trying to do?

The BL2500 are active speakers, which you would connect to a PowerLink output of a B&O audiomaster e.g. a BeoCenter 2300 - there is no BeoSound 2300!

In case you are asking how to connect passive speakers instead of BeoLabs, you will need an amp like this in between:

In case you want to have passive speakers in another room - in addition to the BC2300/BL2500 combo - you will need a:

There actually was a BeoSound 2300. What was sold in Europe as the BeoCenter 2300 was sold in the U.S. as the BeoSound 2300. I have one.

Hi Tigerwomble,

Welcome to Beoworld!  It is worth considering if you wish to have separate control of the volume on each set of speakers and whether either set of speakers (powered or passive) will be in the same room as the 2300?

This information will allow us to help you to get the best setup for the system.  The more you can tell us about your plans, the better we can help you!

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.

There have been some other differences in product names in the US. market as well. We don't call the BeoSound 2000 the "Century" or the BeoSound 4000 the "Ouverture."
