Hi, We all know that Beolab 5 have some problems with reliability regarding Main chassi (electrical chassi).

Does anyone know if Beolab 20 Main chassi (electrical chassi) holds up better than Beolab 5 with few or non replacements Since launch of the speaker?

I am thinking of buying the 20 and sell my lab 5 because I have changed main chassi 2 times and it cost about 20.000 SEK every time!.

Best Regards

Martin

That seems unusual. In what time frame are we talking for the repairs? And how old are your 5’s?

Hi

My labs5 is 4 years old and two swaps of main chassi. But if AussieMichael is right then labs20 is not more reliability than labs5.

I have not read any swaps of mainchassi for the labs20.

Best regards

Martin

Hmmmm I have 20’s and never had any problems. Perhaps the reported issues were resolved by B&O.......

Previously had 5’s and one had to have chassis replaced.

If you always rely on posts saying there are issues you will never buy anything, whether it’s a toaster, a kettle, a car or speakers.......

I tried to reply to your thread/question about BL20s vs BL18/19 several times. Couldn’t get my reply to stick for some reason.
