I have recenty been "forced" by my internet provider and cable TV provider (COMHEM) to swap my older cabel modem/router for a never:
Since the swap I can see constant "red lights" in the BeoTool app , telling there there are a number of inconsistancies (e.g products seeing others as offline) as well as that some products cannot access Beoportal.
These "redlights" come and go, so its not consistent.
I´m not using the built in Wifi. For the Wifi I use two Ubiquiti accesspoints.
Any advice?
Are there ports I need to open? I´m not that good with routers, and I did no reconfig the other router that worked fine with my equipment.

Moment and BV11 are wired straight to the router.
M5, M3; A6 and Beosound 1 are wifi via the access points.
So Moment also get red lights (occasionally) in the BeoTool with indication like it cannot access Beoportal, and viewing other devices as offline.
I recently switched all my internet stuff to Ubiquiti. I started 2 years ago with just 2 Ubiquiti AP's and it's iCloudKey and after that I slowly switched all the switches/router (Linksys) with their own PSU's to UniFi switches powered by POE (power over ethernet).
The UniFi USG router is rather easy to install behind the modem. It hasn't WiFi, but that's not needed.
My network can controlled by App and pc.
The network works flawless at a maximum speed between the 250-300Mb provided by my provider. I get this maximum on my iPhone through the AP as well.
But. Even with this sophisticated network I also get the same faults (Beoportal on Moment and Essence seen as offline
Just a example:
Nice feature with the Ubiquiti app, some inside info from your network.
Beobuddy: But. Even with this sophisticated network I also get the same faults (Beoportal on Moment and Essence seen as offline
Maybe I just have to stop looking into the BeoTech app
Nice setup and a much more sophisticated network than mine. I dont have managed switched from Ubiquiti that I think are required to get such nice stats.

Looking into the Beotool app let's us know that there are updates available.
Just start with the UniFi USG and an 8 port switch with 60W POE (4 ports with POE). That way you can eliminate the powersupply of each AP.
And you will have the same information as the above picture shows. Adding an iCloudKey makes that it stores your settings for each AP. Adding any future AP will be done within a few minutes without the hassle of configuring. Same WiFi-ID is broadcasted with the same credentials at every AP. (Unless you need a devoted different WiFi )
Green lines are 1Gbs, orange lines are 100Mbs. Dottes lines are WiFi.
But do you see the products when going to the Moment or other products Beolink configuration pages?
The Beotool is inconsistently reporting errors. Today most if not all my products are showing Beoportal access failures where yesterday only one of them had issue. Beotool is telling me that my BS 1 needs software update where the app, so the product configuration page, doesn't. Beotool sometimes says that my products can't see the others while they are all currently playing in a B&O Multiroom, the next launch there is no more issue. Beotool is saying that a product failed to connect to Deezer where it is actually connected, etc... etc....

Hiort:I have recenty been "forced" by my internet provider and cable TV provider (COMHEM) to swap my older cabel modem/router for a never: Manufacturer: SagemCom Modell: WiFi Hub C2
kimhav:When looking quickly in the specs and manual for the SagemCom it should be straight forward getting things to run and to my understanding the new router is the only device that you have beside the 2 Ubiq AP's. Meaning that you only have a 4-ports switch available built into the router, right? Also, suggest that you disable the built in wireless AP in the router as well since it by default it's enabled. When it comes to your wireless network which you use the Ubiq AP's, I would assume that you're using the PoE injectors that came along with each of the Ubiq AP's. Did you just plugin the Ubiq AP's to the new router or did you do a proper reboot once there were connected to the new router? Just asking if you didn't you could very well have bad caching data kept in the Ubiq AP's which could contribute to you problems with the Moment Hub. The Moment screen connects to the wireless network so this one should be good as long you ensure that you have done a fresh restart of the AP's. Also, since you have more than one Ubiq AP, do you also have the Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Key ? I highly recommend to get one since it will add a lot of value getting control over your AP's including improvement the stability of the wifi network.
I took a snapshot of Beotool and guess what, Beoportal problems.
What is Beoportal? Some kind of vault where they keep your TuneIn and Deezer credentials? To share these in event of adding new products?
Well, was wondering myself, I've never used the BeoPortal, well at least not what I know of or can remember. So as already asked what good is it?
Another thought could be that the BeoPortal isn't available anymore with public dns records and that your old router had cached dns data. But, that's really reaching out for something. But, as I don't know what the BeoPortal does I can't really provide anymore input.
And just got to ask, are there any issues beside the BeoPortal what the Moment doesn't work? If there are any issues still, then try to use a IP scanner such as Advanced IP Scanner to see what shows up on your network.
Tried to join BS1 from Moment this morning.
BS1 showed up under LINK on Moment but no connection was established,,,
Might be the Sagem router that you have could have any specific configuration which isn't obvious so hard to say what it could be (for example blocking ports which the BeoPortal app needs). But, if you try to connect all of the involved equipment which should show up in the app to your external additional switch, meaning the Moment and the Ubiq AP, then at least there shouldn't be any firewall/router involved.

I dont follow you here..
You mean try to hardwire e.g my BS1 to the switch where Moment is connected and see if they can talk that way?

Yes, exactly, my understanding is that you have a switch connected to the Sagem router and I would suggest that you hardware as much as possible to this additional switch to see if it makes any difference.
Also, when the BeoPortal app indicates red, does that actually have any impact on the functionality of the Moment and BS1?
kimhav: Also, when the BeoPortal app indicates red, does that actually have any impact on the functionality of the Moment and BS1?
No, I do not think so.
I see that other experience the same, with no problems in their setups.

Alright, so everything works as it should except that the BeoPortal doesn't seem to work proper? Just so that we're not on a ghost chase here :-)
So, if the focus is to get the BeoPortal app to work; well then we can ignore the other devices and focus on the app. For example I see that you have 2 powerline adapters which divides your network and each of the segment has an Ubiq AP. Does it makes any difference which AP your phone uses? Meaning, try to have ensure that the phone, Moment and BS1 to access the same AP. You can check this by using Ubiq management software such as the mobile app where you can check which AP the devices are connected to and kick them off a specific AP to get it to connect to the right unit. Even if your AP setup is cluster based, if an device is set in the middle between the APs they might stay on the wrong unit if the signal strength is similar. So for example if you have set the AP's to automatically update the firmware, depending on the update order a device can ending up using the "wrong" device.

No problems with the mobile. It roam seamlessly between the two APs.
The BeoApp sees the Moment as online.
Hiort:No, the problem is that Moment/BV11 and the other devices cannot see that the other are online. So multiroom between the devices and Moment does not work. Did work for a short time after powercycling Moment and BV11.
For clarification, the Moment and BV11 are both connected via ethernet to the network and they can always see each other and communicate with any problem?
If the answer on the first question is Yes, that would then mean that it's primary wireless units that have problem to communicate with 1) Moment/BV11 and 2) with each other?
I think I nailed the problem.
The cord coming from the ground floor switch (over the powerline adapters) was connected directly into the router (that worked with the old router) so my drawing was wrong on that point. When I connected to the switch rather than the router (as the image show), it works.
Case closed

When it comes to broadband routers from Telia, ComHem, etc. it's not unusual that some of the ports are reserved for specific trafic such as TV, Phone, etc. So that could be the case here, so do double check that each of the ports are actually plain LAN-ports on a switch and the ports that you previously used sounds like it was reserved for something so that you don't have any other devices connected to ports which doesn't work as you expect.
But, good that it was solved!
