This is so frustrating. I get picture, but no sound.
How are you connecting the ATV to your TV?
And have you checked the settings on the ATV's audio menus?
I was just dealing with this earlier today. If the show/movie is outputting in Dolby Atmos, you need to select under Audio Format for the Apple TV to "Change Format" to convert the Dolby Almost to 5.1 LPCM -- since B&O doesn't support Dolby Atmos. HOWEVER, after doing this, I found that at the beginning of any audio in Netflix, there would be a loud POP sound.
BTW, I'm using an HDFury splitter to separate the 4K video to go to my tv and to send the audio to my BeoSystem 4. I'm thinking that I might need to program the EDIDs on the splitter so that the auto-detect for supported audio on the Apple TV can work correctly. I welcome any advise or suggestions.

...Plus, I believe there is a PCM setting on the BV7 or maybe BS4 which you may need to invoke, its not auto selected. I had a similar problem with the loud pop sounds on two BV7's.
I ran a test as well last night using DTS on an external device and the loud initial pop came back. Possibly indicating something incompatible.

The ATV is connected to an HD video converter wich outputs the signal to a DVI cable and audio connectors into the BV7.
I have looked through the audio menus, They looked OK. Now I have a new problem: the TV does nopt respond at all.

Ah. So you're trying to convert the digital audio to analogue audio? Which version of Apple TV do you have? You might do better with the version that had the separate audio port before Apple did away with it. If you're trying to extract and convert the digital audio to analogue, I would only recommend an HDFury solution. They're expensive, but the cheaper solutions rarely work. There could be an EDID issue. That is, the detection of what is compatible on the other end of the HDMI. The Apple TV tries to do an auto-sense of the HDMI to see what is compatible.
I got it sorted, by switching to the Video3 in config and attaching a second ninepin DIN from the powlink on the BV to one of the Pentas. Just random despair experimenting; the Beosys is so not intuitive, IMO. Thanks for the input, anyway!
Actually, I have an additional and seperate fix for this DVI and sound issue which may be interesting for some. It's less complex than it sounds, reliable and feature rich for those willing to try.
I connected an XBOX One S to the BV7 via an HDMI to DVI cable and a toslink to coaxial converter. Therefore the XBOX serves as my converter, video engine and smart Tapps TV engine.
The XBOX also has an HDMI input to which I have connected a simple manual HDMI switcher. this gets interesting.
So with the above I have access to Smart TV features through the XBOX which also has a tuner, plus an Apple TV, Roku Box and Tivo, via the XBox HDMI input and the manual switch.
If you can get your head around this it works very well. Plus the XBOX in local and passthru mode has a great picture which I have even calibrated.
The XBOX here, does a fine job of converting picture and digital sound to 720P and PCM Bitstream respectively which is what my BV7 handles. Plus I can easily swap the Apple TV for a Chromecast, FireTV or the next product without any drama.
I stress here I am not a gamer. Though my son benefitted from the above setup.
