Beosystem 4500 not working

My beosystem which I have had a good few years has sometime recently decided not veto work.

The beomaster just stays turned on and will not respond to the remote control. 

The cd and cassette player will manually turn on but they are not communicating with the speakers.

Seems there are a few issues, any thoughts ?

Is there a standby light on the Beomaster?

Praps a silly question,but does the Beomaster respond to manual commands at the glass operation panel?

If so,do you need to reset the option code?(sound-1-store,via BL1000.Unit in standby)

Hi Nick It's not responding to manual commands, it will not even turn off.

Check with a scope that the CPU in the Beomaster is running.
The other units will not cause anything else to react, if the Beomaster is down.
