Hi,
I'm restoring a B&O Type 42VF record player, a predecessor to Beogram 1000. I'm having trouble with the tonearm lift. It drops down immediately, whereas I think it should lower the tonearm slowly. I guess that the silicone grease which damped the spring action has dried up. I've already relubed cueing devices in many turntables but I can't see any way of taking this B&O tonearm lift apart. There are no screws.
Do you know how to dismantle this device?
Thanks,
Pete
Hi Pete
I am afraid I can't help but I have had the same issue before so interested in anyone who knows the solution.

Had a trawl through my service manuals but nothing useful - I think Martin is your man - send a PM to Dillen - he is one of the site's moderators and has forgotten more than I have ever known.
