I have just been given an old 6-26 for use in a spare bedroom and am attempting to set up by connecting to a Sky box via a scart.
I thought I was reasonably technically minded but it is driving me to distraction. I’m finding it the most complicated TV ever.
Can anyone help with a step-by-step idiots guide which will walk me through the TV’s menu. The best place to start will be the selections required on the ‘Connections’ screen as I’ve tried all combinations without success.
Feeling very stupid!
Many thanks.
Welcome to the forum!
Setup is a little bit complicated for someone who is new to B&O. I can highly recommend having a look at the instruction manuals which are still available from B&O here: https://www.bang-olufsen.com/en/product-support/Television/beovision-6
Basically you need to use the connections screen to chose what is plugged in to the appropriate SCART, also remembering that the socket will then be selected by the appropriate button on the remote.
You may find that the instructions refer to a newer model, but the input/connection setup should still be similar. If you're still stuck after giving those a try, then let us know!
Resolved now, thanks.
It was as simple as moving the scart lead to the second port at the back!
Great news - thanks for letting us know. And Happy Viewing!
