Hello,
I have a second life DVD2. Now I have made the basic instructions but my DVD loader is not getting open.
Does enyone knows what this problem is?
And how can I solve this problem?
Greatings,
Olaf
The only way to open the DVD drawer on a DVD2 is by pressing the button next to the right hand edge of the drawer when the upper front panel is open, there are no menu structures to do it via the remote.

Ron,
Thank you for your reaction.
But when I press the right button the DVD drawer is not coming open. The display showing " opening....blocked....closing" and that was it.
Do you or anyone else know that problem and what I must do to unlock the DVD drawer?
Hi Olaf,
It might be the Child Lock is ON. See below from the manual. It also tells you at the end how to reset if you do not know/remember the code.
Good Luck
Stoobie
Before you can use the Child Lock function, you must set a Child Lock code.
While the DVD player is switched on ...> Press GO then 1 to bring up the system menu> Press to highlight PREFERENCES and press repeatedly to highlight ACCESS SETTINGS, then press to access.> Use 0–9 to enter a four-digit pincode of your own choice.> Press EXIT to leave the system menu.
When you have set a four-digit code, you can activate or deactivate the Child Lock function in the ACCESS SETTINGS menu by choosing ON or OFF.
Change pincode …> Use 0–9 to enter your new four-digit pincode. You must enter the same pincode again to confirm it.> To cancel your change, press to highlight CANCEL in the menu and press GO twice on the remote control.
If you forget your pincode …> Enter 1504 instead of the pincode you have forgotten.> Enter a new four-digit pincode. You must enter the same pincode again to confirm it.
I just got a second hand DVD2 and all of a sudden I also get the same problem as you. It is like it's trying to open, but the lid get stuck somehow.
I 've been looking in the manual to find out if there is "transport-lock" or something similar to how you lock the disk on a turntable, but I can't find anything.
Were you able to resolve the problem? And in that case..how?
Thanks!
/Peter

Hi Peter,
I taken my DVD2 to my B&O dealer. He installed a new DVD loader for about 150 euro. The problem was fixed
Thanks for your reply! Well, I suspected that was the way to do it.. :(
Hello Peter, I have a second hand DVD2 which was working but did not use it fro about 2 years. I tried to use it again and all of a sudden I also get the same problem as you and Olaf. It's trying to open the tray, but the lid get stuck somehow.
When I press the right button the DVD drawer is not coming open. The display showing " opening....blocked....closing" and that was it.
How did you fix your DVD2 ?
Anybody else had the same problem ?
Thank you.
