Because I needed another project, and they were cheap (and came with stands - original height adjustable), I picked up a set of M75s. Being extremely happy with the way the S75s sound and reading all sorts of positives on the Ms, how could I not.

Besides the rotted foam on the mid and bass drivers, one side is missing a tweeter. I begged and pleaded, but seller claimed it had been lost somewhere along the way. And I actually never asked why it was removed in the first place - the rest of the speaker doesn't look like it was stored under the sea or anything. There's a couple of small scratches on the veneer but no discoloration, no holes on the cloth, all pegs still there etc.

Anyway - has anyone replaced the tweeter in an M75 with the Audax TW025A0 (with the 12x9 faceplate of course) which they claim is a direct replacement for the original HD12X9D25?. - or should I try to hunt down an original. If I go for the replacement driver, I will, of course, replace both.

Thank you - as always, you knowing people of the Beoworld Forum Massive!

[Edit:] Link to Falcon Acoustics where they talk about it being a direct replacement. https://www.falconacoustics.co.uk/audax-hd12x9d25-12x9-tweeter.html

[Edit2:] Changed model name in subject to something a bit more correct
