I'm not sure if be spending significant sums on a tv made between 2005-2011.

My main TV is a BV 4-65 with Beosystem 3 and I absolutely love it. I think the pictures is fantastic for the price of them right now. As long as it is not too much I would go for it. Just keep in mind that screen is crazy heavy. Around 200 lbs. It took 3 people to hang it on the wall. Well worth it after everything was installed.
Beosound 9000 MK III, Beosound Century, Beogram 5005, Beolab 8000, Beolab 5000, Beolab 4000, Beolab 5, Beovision 8, Beovision 10, Beovision 5, Beoplay A2, Beoplay E8, Beoplay H6.

Present: BL90, Core, BL6000, CD7000, Beogram 7000, Essence Remote.
Past: BL1, BL2, BL8000, BS9000, BL5, BC2, BS5, BV5, BV4-50, Beosystem 3, BL3, DVD1, Beoremote 4, Moment.
Later versions of BeoSystem 3 are incredibly sophisticated and repairable. BeoLab 7 is fantastic in any size. 1080p BeoVision 4 is top-shelf but uses a ton of energy. If you have a way to build a PUC table I think it is wonderful opportunity.
I've always been fascinated by the fasciation with plasma screens 'wearing out'.
In all my years of dealing in B&O I've never once seen, or heard of, a plasma screen go wrong through just plain being used too much.
The BV4 screen is superb. If it's cheap - go for it. It may not have the absolute clarity of modern screens, but it's good enough - and it's B&O.

Alternatively you might have owned a Panasonic plasma that went off with a bang (sic) after 7 years and was a write off!
You pays your money and takes your chance!
It was a brilliant tv and I wouldve happily bought a new one had they still made plasma screens however I wouldn't buy a similarly aged used model.
