I have a BeoPlay in my basement den with a (line level output)record player plugged in. I know that the speaker is capable of a lot more than what I use it for but I really just wanted a fantastic looking good quality speaker for when I put some LPs on. Anyway, we were listening to some Beatles earlier and my kid touched the A9 and all of a sudden it was some german radio coming out. I don't have any streaming radio though so I'm wonderring what happened. All I can think is that
a) It has a radio built in that I was unaware of?
b) Some random neighbour jokingly tried playing their radio to it because it was a nearby bluetooth device
c) The App on my phone is playing some kind of test channel that's a mix of European stuff
Both a) and b) could be possible.
Your A9 has a radio, a radio function built in.
This is called TuneIn, which is a provider for internet radio stations..
You can configure this function in the Bang & Olufsen app and make a favourite list of stations by signing in to TuneIn (which is free).
As already mentioned by Michael, you can toggle through the built-in sources of the A9 by tapping on the surface.
The list, the priority of these sources can be managed in the app as well.
The open bluetooth function can be turned off there, too.....in order to avoid b)
I would highly recomment you to study the user guide at some point 😉

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Kinda cool I guess, it has streaming certain sources installed as apps by default. In all honesty I'm unlikely to use any of them but that's pretty neat, a nice little touch. Normally if I'm not listening to records, I'd bluetooth it onto my MacPro and play an audiobook or something from my playlist catalogue (I have an insane catalogue of highly curated music there)
Use built-in bluetooth to listen to audiobooks on the A9.
Use AirPlay from the Mac to listen to your ‘insane catalogue of highly curated music’ on the A9.
The A9 is a device with many options.
