Hi Guys, a couple of questions,
i recently bought a Beosound 9000 Mk3 and it has a code with a 5 pin digit hidden underneath on the floor stand, the thing is when I got it home, it didn't request a pin to be entered, I thought they all had pin codes on Mk3's I recently read on a forum that some Mk3's have a red button, mine also has a red button on the bottom left hand corner, it says on the sticker when you pull the front panel off, type 2572 so my question is why isn't it asking for a pin code to be put in? I tried pressing the down button twice and then pause like someone said and no pin request is arising, can these pin codes be disarmed and re installed? I would be happier if I had the pin code installed, Many thanks
my second question is I have a spare set of beolab 6000 speakers, and I have had them for few years just siting idle, I went to plug one in and it made the most horrendous high pitch noise it was piercing, the cones are crushed in the front where the main woofers are, if I buy new main woofers will this rectify the high pitch screeching?

The "Down-Down-Pause" should be done when the unit is in std.by. When it is powered on, nothing will happen.

And the Pincode is only 4 digits.
…….and you can disable the PIN code system IIRC

Not every product has the pin code enabled.
