Hello all

I am building hifiberry DAC system to use with existing beolab 4000 speakers.
Hifiberry has RCA and beolabs also - it works fine with RCA cable (I have high quality RCA cable)

But I am looking a way to trigger power-on to beolabs (hifiberry DAC has 3.3V output).

Do i have to use full powerlink-RCA cable or is it possible to use RCA input on beolabs and just trigger power-on pin via powerlink cable? Will the beolabs accept power trigger if they are connected to RCA?

Has anyone tried that?

thnx :)

Hi,

I believe that Beolab 4000s will sense the signal from the line in (RCA) and turn on automatically, and when the signal is no longer present, turn off after a few minutes.

If you want more direct control of on/off via powerlink I'm sure Steve at Sounds Heavenly can make up a cable that has a powerlink end and a custom rca/power input from your device at the other end.
