I'm trying to fit a simple Bluetooth Transmitter from the headphone socket of the Beosound MK2 so as to enjoy wireless headphone listening. The Beosound 9000 MK2 is connected to a Beolab 3500 MK2 via a Masterlink cable (as a Powerlink cable wouldn't work). But for some reason there is no output at the headphone socket of the Beosound 9000 MK2, and I'm wondering if that is to do with how things are arranged, or if I require any of the (dummy connectors) to force an output either to headphone socket, or from the Din Socket for additional speakers, or perhaps there's something I've overlooked within the configuration of the Beo4 remote control? It is most puzzling, as in theory it should be such an easy addition to make.

Have you tested with headphones rather than the bluetooth transmitter?

Indeed I have tried connecting various headphones at different volume levels, but apart from a faint background buzzing, I'm surprised to say that no audio is present on any headphones, and that audio from the Beolab 3500 is still present after the jack has been inserted, which is not what I expected to find on an otherwise perfect ex-demo machine from a store with an excellent reputation. Thus my belief is that something isn't configured properly, leaving me with the other option of going down the route of using the Din Speaker Socket output (once I've obtained a lead), but which may throw up even more problems.

Hi,

I've setup a similar system, BS9000 MKIII with no PL speakers, masterlinked to BL3500 to replicate your issue. The BS9000 is by default in option 0 in this case.  If I use the remote to have the BL3500 control the system I get no headphone output. If I use the secondary keyboard on the BS9000 to control things I get headphone output, this is true whether the BL3500 is on or not.

When I set the BS9000 to option 1, I get headphone output using the remote as well as the keyboard. I can mute the BL3500 and still have headphone output.

I hope that helps.

Bill

Thank you ever so much Bill, for explaining to me in user friendly terms the practical solution to my problem, of which I put into practice tonight and I'm pleased to say works a treat.
