hello beo friends,Is there a new DAB + receiver for Beosound DAB radio? Beocenter2 Beocenter4, which can be retrofitted?
or do we have to put all of our B & O design objects in the Museeum as useless if FM, like AM, will be shut down in Europe?

Hi,
only solutions extern like Chromecast, Bluetooth, or DAB + with an extern receiver.
I‘ve had the same problem , ask my dealer, but there is nothing in pipeline, so I prefered Chromcast and FM with indoor antenna

There is a tv - and there is a BV
There was a module made for the BC2 to add DAB+ - see this post
I doubt very much that there are any hanging around though it would not hurt to ask a dealer!

I have a Beocenter 2 with DAB (not DAB+) in the U.K. The DAB reception is incredibly sensitive to aerial positioning..... my DAB Pure Radio with telescopic aerial gets much better reception.
As others suggest above, get a Chromecast Audio (they are still intermittently available despite being officially out of production). Connect it to your BC2 box auxiliary input.

Good dab reception is rather hit n miss in the U.K.I imagine that they intend to increase signal strength once they have convinced the power's that be that enough people are converted? They can turn off good old nothing wrong with it fm then?
Internet radio reception seems to be robust, with a very wide range of stations available too
As to adapting the old B&O systems,it would certainly be do-able,at least with the remote control systems.
The current state of the electronics industry would dictate that it would only be viable to make adaptors in huge number's though, otherwise they would be unattractively costly. There probably isn't a big enough market
Supply and demand?
The oneremote dab adaptor option suggested, is an example of this, and seems to be well thought out.Does anyone have one,and can report?

The solution of oneremote.dk is based on the TechniSat DIGITRADIO 100 C digital radio, which has been modified (only the price difference is enormous € 70 to € 360!).there was a 7-wire cable added (I think Powerlink connection), and the remote control signals to B & O adapted!
I found a minimalist solution for the DAB + in Car Radio, because I use a DAB + -> FM Converter, which outputs the radio signal to a certain freely adjustable FM channel, or transmits the signal via the AUX socket. In principle, this would also work with stereo receiver, but unfortunately there is no optical additional information from the DAB.
I had an earlier version of the oneremote solution and it worked great for a few years but could only preset 10 stations - not sure if the new one does more. At the price they are charging though you can buy a lintronic box and a better internet radio and hide it away - as I did, makes it future proof and it replaced having a B&O Audio master as I bought a Yamaha receiver with airplay, spotify, deezer, internet radio, Dab, FM etc. etc. The sound is excellent through the various beolink active and passive boxes and functions just as my old BS3000 did, but with internet radio instead of FM as presets. I also had a spare input for a turntable and can play music on a USB stick.
But if you are looking for a plug and play solution that integrates well then the oneremote receiver is good.
I've just ordered this for my Parent's B&O Beocenter 9300.

I set it up the other weekend and it works a treat. They use the BEO 4 remote and have the BEOLINK system in another room. It all works perfectly.
They're both in their 70's and it was important for me to have a system that they could operate using the B&O remote as if they were using the normal FM tuner. Now they have all their favourite stations loaded in presets 0-10 for Internet Radio and DAB+. They also have the smartphone app to select more stations. It's compativle with Spotify, Bluetooth Streaming, Network Audio streaming too. It's a great bit of kit.
It's plugged into the TAPE 2 - PHONO and I programmed the unit to use the cablelinik option 302 (page 21 of the manual) so they can use the unit from the other room.
To use on the standard remote, press SHIFT ATAPE and the unit switches on automatically from the B&O. If using BEO4 you just program the remote to add the ATAPE2 feature. Press the red off button and it swithces the B&O off and puts the oneremote unit into standby.

I e-mailed them a few times before ordering and they were very quick at getting back to me. The unit was shipped from Denmark to the UK in 2 days.
If you've any questions, please ask me.
Cheers,
Mark.
Radio most generally is a total mess these days.
Welcome to the Forum bolancs and thanks for the post!
I used an earlier version of that system and wrote about it here: https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/3486/31533.aspx#31533
There was one strange anomaly with my setup: When I wanted to select an internet radio preset (from either the main or MCL link room), I had to press 1 1 for preset one, 2 2 for preset two etc.
My system worked very well to get UK radio for the 8 years that I was living abroad, but is now packed away as I simply use FM.
Hi Guy,
Thanks for your warm welcome. I'm a big fan of the B&O kit and I'm trying to get hold of a Beocenter myself but one with the old CDM-4 swing-arm laser system which is more reliable than the linear systems so I can become a "true" member rather than through family!
I'm in agreement with Manbear pig I used to listen to Radio 2 on FM but the distortion and compression was terrible on some broadcasts. Radio 3 is fine but too highbrow for me. So I took the plunge and bought a Technisat unit for myself last week from Amazon.de. I have linked to the high bit rate internet streams from the Beeb and they seem reasonable. Unfortunately my Rotel RT850 packed up a while ago, haven't got round to repairing it yet.
All the best,
