I'd like to get some thoughts on the Essence remote and the Moment head-unit. Currently I've got a full set of "everyday music" working in my house in addition to a dedicated high-end system. I'm looking to further simplify control in public spaces (I don't want the whole family to download the B&O app, and want guests to be able to play music). My equipment:* A6* Beosound 2 (w/Assistant)* Beosound 1 (w/Assistant)* M5* A9 Mk IV (w/Assistant)* Beosound Core w/ Beolab 8000'sThe voice control is fabulous for the bedrooms. The living room uses the A6 and BeoSound Core so no voice control in the common areas though. So, I quite like the look of the Moment, and wondering whether it's issues have all been solved enough, but it's still workable enough for the latest devices. Anyone still hanging onto this and loving it? The search uncovers issues, but it's unclear if they still exist.Similarly, it's not clear to me if I purchase an Essence Mk2, if I need the remote and the control box still, since I won't be wiring any speakers to it directly, or if I can just track down an Essence tabletop/wallmount and keep my box count low.
Thanks in advance with any inputs.
The Moment is quite stable from what I read on this forum. You can buy the Essence remotes and link up to eight to each Multiroom speaker. No Essence-box needed.
You might want to wait a bit for a new “Essence on steroids” remote with screen that is coming later this year (around 750€). Sounds like it would fit your use case and is still a bit cheaper than a second hand Moment.
