Does anyone know why the speakers are not activated and the LED does not appear in green and is always in red and the sound is not heard ???

I had a similar problem caused by the foam that was deteriorated. It damaged the electronics.

I had it repaired and new foam placed.

That will depend on the serial number.

If you have old Beolab 4000 with black foam inside, then that has almost certainly degraded to the point of damaging the main circuit board which will have caused the problem.

If you have white foam inside then it is a newer Beolab 4000 and the other issues to check is the standby transformer which is also a common failure.
