Hi I'm looking for a new kitchen speaker and have had my eyes on the A2 Active. I have searched a lot but can't find out if the the A2 Will auto *** of if not actively uses? I wonder this because I would like to connect a Chromecast audio but if the speaker won't keep turned on it defeats the purpose of casting.

I know a lot of Bose speakers have this features but they also offer a way to shut his function off.

Hope you guys can help out!

Yes, it does. Is far as I’m aware of, you cannot change the timing

You can prevent auto power off by setting the A2 active (and A1 and Beolit 17) to retail mode:

Hi TWG,

I don’t suppose you have saved the document that you mentioned with details of the retail mode please?  The Beoplay website is now gone, including the document in the link.

Thanks, Steve.

Thanks TWG for putting it here for all.

I did not have the time for that yesterday evening ....late.

One important thing here is, that the Updater, that one needs (there is a link for that in your post) still is available/the link is active.

Did you try it out yourself?

I previously wanted to - but it seems a bit (!) complicated, so I postponed it for later.....hmmmm!

Good hint Millemissen.

I've updated the link after trying (and searching) it for myself.
