Its a stunning transformation of the house and its in my mind super tastefully done. I cannot think of anything else than B&O gear in such a house

OK, I will continue with the cigar room next for those who might be interested in that. Hiort, photos of the stocked humidor included especially for you :o)
The cigar room is situated off the main hallway and I sourced a poster which I thought quite poignant and placed it on the wall just outside the room:
The humidification system required quite a bit of cable management too and because it was a US import I needed to place a step down converter inside the walk-in humidor.

Next I needed to hang an LG OLED 65" B8 panel on the wall next to the humidor, tricky as there is an awful lot of sockets running up the wall behind the panels but I was prepared and had taken photos of the electrics before plastering so I knew roughly where to drill. My idea was to place a Beosound 35 on a stand under the LG panel and connect it optically. That way I would have a decent soundbar and a multiroom speaker all in one:
Finally the cigar room is finished and furnished:

I had a local artist make a water colour canvas for me. The story goes; Queen Victoria banned smoking at Court. When she passed away her son, now King Edward VII famously entered the courts the following day and declared 'Gentlemen, you may smoke!'
Next to the Ox chair I placed a Beocom 2 on the wall, H8 headphones connected to the LG OLED panel and a Beoremote One to control the Beosound 35.
This then concludes the ground floor of the house, I hope I'm not boring you guys with amount of photos posted and thank you for all your kind comments. Next we move upstairs where a few more B&O installations were required. I will try to organise some more photos and post soon.
Till now all i can say ..very very nice designes and some fine details.
Beautifully done! I'm especially impressed by your attention to cable management along the baseboards. This is something I've tended to neglect and need to work on. It really came to my attention after getting a Roomba. She tries to eat any cables she can get her mouth on!

My situation doesn't call for any home automation, but would be interested at some point as to how you approached this question, if at all.

Sandyb, I did consider what I should do in terms of home automation.. I decided against a full on ipad/Android controlled automated house. Too much of it relies on your WIFI and I already have rather a lot running on it such a 6 x Sky Q boxes & boosters, the entire under floor heating system, Tvs, B&O speakers and systems etc etc and whilst I do have so called 'fiber' it is still an old fashioned telephone line from the road junction box into the house so hardly lightning fast. Alarm systems and CCTV run on their own and are also not WIFI connected. For all the lighting in the house I just used old fashioned LED dimmer switches with dimmable ceiling LED lights - how old fashioned.. I know
Meticulous attention to detail combined with a fine sense of style...brilliant. But lord, those power outlets, and here I thought the ones mandated in the US were bulky and bad! But, one thing you don't have control over.
Excellent "man cave" for relaxing after a hard day. Love the historical quote too, perfectly apt.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
Moving upstairs I converted one of the bedrooms into our home office. Here i placed a Beosound 1 and a Beocom 6000 on the office desks (excuse the shoddy photo)
Below the left side desk I fitted the Beosound Core that runs the dining room Beolab 8000s & Beolab 11 - the powerlink cables were run early on in the build. The Essence remote in the dining room just below has no problem controlling the Core.
Bear with me guys, a work assignment has just landed on my desk - I will continue this thread with the remainder of the upstairs as soon as I get a chance to sort out more photos. Thank you all for comments so far.

The side tables in the smoking room, who are they made by, I remember seeing something simialr a while ago but forgot to ask who they were by and have been after something like that for my place?

Toby, thanks for your generous comments. Those side tables are from a UK company called Bluesuntree. I just had a look but I can’t see them on their website any longer but perhaps I’m missing it.. have a look. They have some nice stuff.

Hello again fellow Beoworlders - I'm back in the room Finally got a chance to sort out and arrange some more photos.
Following the office we move next door to another bedroom. Here is the before pic:
We knocked the chimney flue out that served the fireplace in the original snug below which is now the cigar room. I also wanted to utilize the voids on either side of the dormer as it just seemed wasted space to me. We reconfigured the stud supports for the roof in order to build some MDF cabinets we could sink into the voids:
The smoke extractor and all the ducting for the cigar room ceiling vents are fitted inside the void to the left of the dormer:
MDF cupboards being buildt and sunk into the voids - underfloor heating fitted to the entire first floor as well:
The finished result of the 'Yellow room' or spare bedroom:
I placed a black Beoplay M3 on the desk and a yellow Beocom 2 - cable management sorted around the rear leg of the desk:
On the yellow cupboard a hommage to that well known 'Japanese surprise' photo and a miniature set of a Beovision 6 flanked by Beolab 6000s:
Next we come to the family bathroom/utility room off the landing, no B&O installed in this room. Here is the before pic:
It was vital for me to hide all water and soil pipes as 'boxing around them' (as can be seen on the left above) is simply not an option and one of my pet hates in UK construction - so we built cavity stud walls in all 3 bathrooms and ran all pipes inside:
Traditionally washing machines and tumble dryers are found in a dedicated utility room or family bathroom in Scandinavia, often in a cupboard made specially for it (The master bedroom is right next door and why would I want to carry washing up and down the stairs constantly - after all, you remove your clothes in the bedroom and put them back there after washing) Just as our kitchens, all the bathroom furnishings and sinks are from the danish company Kvik (note all the piping hidden in the stud wall behind)
All bathroom taps and shower thermostats in the house are from Hans Grohe:

Thanks so much Jeff. The entire black with glass wardrobe is actually from Ikea. You can purchase the glass doors separately and they're not expensive. Let me know if you need a link

This is the larger family bathroom with the washing machine & tumble dryer Hiort. We don't use it a lot unless we have guests because we have an en-suite bathroom in the Master bedroom so I felt any B&O would be a bit wasted in there (having said that, there's still time enough to place a Beoplay M3/M5 on top of the washing machine cabinet!) The en-suite bathroom has B&O - photos to follow in due course.

Ah, thanks! I thought they looked like Ikea. I have considered them and maybe need to do that. I need to measure the doors and see what I can do.

Thanks Paul. Built like tanks indeed.. I had to use a genie lift prior to installing the staircase in order to crane the 100 kilo washing machine and 60 kilo dryer up onto the landing, it took 3 of us to connect and man handle them into the cupboard!
We now come to the first floor master bedroom side of the house comprising: bedroom - dressing room - en-suite bathroom.
Here are the before photos of the bedroom:
There really wasn't much left after the demolition, the dormer structure was completely removed in order to create the single large dormer to the rear, opening up the rooms:
Below the entire floor is gutted ready for new stud walls for the en-suite bathroom. Note the little steel support now holding up the roof steel above, enabling us to remove the old block wall and hide pipes and under floor heating manifold in the wall.

Windows are in. All windows and front doors are triple glazed from IdealCombi in Denmark.

Wall papering the main bedroom wall with material made from cloth - photos are misleading, the bedroom itself is 30 square meters!
... and finally the finished and furnished bedroom:
On the left hand side I fitted a Beotime flute and my wife's colour coded H4 headphones which are connected top the TV (pics coming up)
To the right of the bed a wall hung Beocom 6000 and a Beoremote One to control the Beosound 35 (pics to follow)

Note the miniature B&O setting - I had to make the little cabinet myself in order to match my living room setup
As mentioned previously I fitted the TV wall with Ash wood panels. I then hung an LG OLED 55" B7 panel together with a Beosound 35 functioning as a soundbar and a multiroom speaker all in one. Connected optically, just like I did in the cigar room, it provides excellent sound when watching TV:
Finally, I fitted a frosted glass sliding door to the en-suite bathroom entrance (pics to follow of the dressing room and bathroom)

Mange tak Hiort. Yes the TV sound is awsome through the BS35. I’m really pleased with it as a soundbar and a multiroom speaker. The Beotime flute activates the BS35 in the morning turning on the radio. It’s perfect.
The miniatures were tricky to source as they were dealer sets only. I managed to obtain a set from a beoworld member in the US and swapped a brand new Beoremote One BT for it. Result.

Great thread and love the upstairs as well, you must be so happy with the finish, such a great space and such attention to details.
Next week come to the dressing room, off the Master bedroom. This was originally a separate small bedroom with a door off the landing to the right as you come up the stairs:

We blocked up the door entrance with a stud wall:
Here the door is blocked off behind the little french chair and table:
This was the original little bedroom:
Again, I wanted to utilize the voids next to the dormer so we reconfigured the roof supporting struts and built in some Ikea drawer units:

2 identical Ikea drawer units merged together with an oak desktop to match the floor and the drawer units in the voids:
Open shelving at the back wall and wardrobes to the left constructed by cutting down some Ikea units and fitting it all together:
We broke through from the master bedroom corner and created an entrance directly into the dressing room. Excuse the rather bad photo.
I placed a grey Beoplay M3 on the drawer unit under the window:
The last room to feature is the en-suite bathroom off the Master bedroom. I will put together the photos shortly and post. Thanks for watching to those who aren't yet completely bored of all my photos

I found the perfect spot for a Beosound 2
This then completes the inside house renovation. The outside insulation and brick slips from Belgium are due next month when work continues outside, after which we can complete the outside fireplace wall, lay 80 m2 hardwood decking and fit an outside 'kitchen'
Once that is completed this year I will start to demolish the garage building in the spring, it will receive the same amount of attention; new roof, a small extension allowing separate access to the upstairs guestroom and widened garage doors to allow access for wider cars. A Beoplay A6 for the garage and a Beoplay S3 for the guestroom are already sitting in my loft.
Once that is completed we finish with the driveway landscaping, gates etc. I will resurrect this thread in due course to add photos stories of the remaining works. That's all for now folks, I hope some of you have enjoyed the journey
