Beosystem 3 mk1 with Dvi output No picture on Samsung Tv

Hi Guys,

looking for some help Please, i have just purchased a 2nd hand Beosystem 3 from eBay,

i cant get any picture on My B+O TV or my Samsung TV, there is a green led light on back were power cord

is but it lights up for about 5 seconds and goes off, is that normal ? i have the system connected via the dvi port 1 with HDMI converter , but cant get video showing, i also tried on my PC monitor to no avail,

i have been pressing buttons on my Beo 4 remote for hours, can any one shed some light on this, as i don't

know whether the unit is faulty,

Any Help Much Appreciated Confused

Do you have an IR eye connected ?

Hi,  no nothing connected other than Blue-ray player via Dvi to HDMI.

Without an ir-eye you can't control the BS3.

I’ve had success with one from a VX5000, so you may be able to use older models too.

Once you get the IR sensor installed, you may have to use the reset command from the Beo4 to put the BS3 in safe mode until you reset the output resolution to one your tv will accept.
