Hej,
Sure I can help you, but can you write in english please.
greatings Markus
Hi Markus, the 'glass' lid has gotten 'tired'. The motor is working and the lid opens slightly, but not fully. Can you help with that?!? Krgds Jan
There is a small rubber belt inside which opens the lid. You have to replace that one.
do you think you can Open the 9000 yourself? Ehen it is open and you change the belt clean the mechainic itself too.
any questions,feel welcome to ask
Hi Markus,
Very helpful, thanks. Should be able to open it alright. Where do you buy a new rubber band, this is a MK1 or MK2.
Thanks Jan
There is no need to buy a special one.
only a little bit smaler than the old one.
in Germany there is an Electronic Store called Conrad where i buy them
can send you the right one, or you look yourself to find one near you. Should be no problem i think
Hi Markus, MUCH appreciated, we will get to work on it ... sounds great! Thanks/Jan
The original round belt is still available.
Excellent, thanks.
I was a little too quick - opened the rear of the unit, yet doesn't get me to 'rubber band', any guidance/tips for a novice?!?!
Thanks/Jan
You have to Open the front.
open the lid and led the clamper move to cd 6. during the move pull out the cabel for electricity.
now you can move the clamper free with your Hand.
remove the glas panel. now remove the Control panel.
now the right Aluminium plate you have to lift on the right side and push it to the right.
now you can remove all torx screws you can see.remove the small plastic in the middle of the Beosound.
push the clamper to the middle were you have removed the small plastic.
now you can open the the bottom.
you can now See the Mechanik and the rubber belt on the left side.
Wow, so happy I asked, would never have figured out. THANKS! Krgds Jan
Have you done the Job? Or do you need further Informationen?
I think we are getting ... isn't this the rubber band in question?!? Krgds/Jan
Yes, exactly this one๐๐ป
While we have an expert on the 9000 present.
Another tired glass symptom....
If you look carefully at the picture above, the glass is not entirely parallel to the aluminum base plate. I.e there is more distance between the glass and the aluminum towards the hinge, than in the front. One of my BS9000 has the same problem, is there a way to adjust this? Its properly 3-4 mm.
I am guessing its a known issue since I have seen it several times, let me know
Then we just need how to fit a new one onto it ... the old is easy to remove
With an Allen Key. On the keyboardside there is small hole where you can slide in the Allen Key.
On the other side you will find the same hole located underneath the aluminium lis which you need to slide away.
Start with the one where the gear is located (where the openingbutton is). Starting with the other hinge might cause to much tension between both hinges and the glass door.
melgaa: Then we just need how to fit a new one onto it ... the old is easy to remove
Take the gear out ( 4 screws)
Then remove the 3 screws on the side of the gear clean the surfaces on which the belt runs
It will be possible to send some pictures of the screws that I have to take out.
I have taken these screws out what else should I do to change the rubber band?
where can I buy an elastic replacement for the one that opens and closes the glass door at beosund 9000?
