I'll apologize in advance if I am going over old ground.  I've spent an hour or two looking through the various forums and doing searches to not much success so I thought I would start fresh and get direction to my issue or direction to the proper place on Beoworld.

I have a BS9000 that is connected via one powerlink to a BL2 & BL8000 set up.  The second powerlink provides a signal to a secondary receiver/amp to drive various other speakers in my house (deck, bsmt).  Through the Masterlink I have a BL3500 & BL2000 connected.  Everything runs great and signals from the 9000 go out through both power links and masterlink concurrently.  Everything works together great.

I have an iPod connection cable (Sounds Heavenly) connected to the Aux plug.  Switching the 9000 on and selecting Aux lets me play only through one powerlink to the BL2 & BL8000, but the other powerlink out doesn't send a signal to my other receiver/amp nor the masterlink.  While in this operation, I can communicate to the 9000 from the 3500 or 2000 and run the CD or radio back to them which then also turns on the second powerlink to the secondary receiver.

In order to future proof my set up, I worked with my B&O dealer (Cincinnati) to obtain a Core to integrate into my system via the Aux plug in the 9000.  The dealer provided the plugs required to connect the core to the 9000 Aux via RJ45 to RCA to B&O DIN.  I'm about to do the install which requires taking the 9000 off of the wall (2 people) and have a few questions first.

I have concerns about the RCA to B&O Din plug.  Which pins should it be as Aux has both in & out.  Do they work at the same time?  What settings and options need to be set in the 9000 to have the signal from the Core sent throughout both powerlink and masterlink systems?  Is it part of the AV integration setup options settings?  If so, which option do I try first? 1,2,5,6?  I assume the Beo4 will need some configuration as well.  Any advice or links?

Thank you so much

As a follow up to those interested in adding streaming features or a music server to BS9000 and similar devices, this is what I came up with that works wonderfully.

The trick is what the vintage B9000 can accept signal wise.  Remembering that external inputs to the B9000 have to be fed through the A.Aux socket, the easiest way I found after much searching to set it up like I wanted was to use a Nativ Sound Vita as my digital device to stream to the Beosound Core which acts as the digital/analog converter.   My core is not near my BS9000 but in another room near my router. I'm sure Sounds Heavenly has a single cable to connect the Powerlink out on the core to the AUX in on the BS9000 but I didn't realize it at the time when I was at the B&O dealer trying to get help on putting this all together.  B&O doesn't have a single cable to make this connection.

The Core can connect back to the B9000 with an analog signal from the Core's Powerlink output via an adaptor to RCA/phono style plugs that can then be connected to the B9000 via another adaptor going from RCA/phono to the DIN -A.Aux socket.  Everything worked like magic.  If you decide to go this route, here are the B&O parts you will need: 1)BeoSound Core; 2)B&O Cable Powerlink RJ45 to RCA Phono 2m long SKU# 6271265 ;3)B&O Adaptor BeoLink Active AUX Input DIN to Phono F SKU# 6270302.   Positives to this are the connections work for the B9000.  Negatives are the costs for the Core and adaptors.

One other thing that isn't well known about the AUX socket on the B9000 is that it will take input and provide a line out at the same time via other pins.  I use this feature to provide music from the B9000 to other parts of my house. The connector has to have four connections adapting to the din plug to give one both in & out signals depending on the different pins in the socket.
