Hey guys as the title states.
What all needs to be done to get a pair of 220V B&O Beolab 4000's to work in North America 120V power........ I have a set from Europe and they have been collecting dust for years. Any ideas or thoughts on what needs to be done? Can I get some instructions on how to do it or maybe even a How Too?????
Thanks
I am almost sure that the only thing you need to do is to substitute the fuses on the mains PCB. At least this is what I did on a mains PCB from the states in order to work on 220V. Keith was very helpful with this little project.
Download the service manual for the beolab 4000 and check on the diagram. The 220 Volt has one fuse (F5) whereas the 120 Volt has 2 fuses (F4 and F3). You need to take away the F5 and install the F3 and F4. Moreover I think you need to swap the F1 and F2 for a 2.5A 125V. Double check with Keith he is your man!
Does anyone have any diagrams photos and what not??
