Beolab 17 + sub + wires ?

Do the BL17s need a sub, and if yes, which one ?

and what about the wiring: powerlink or optical?

(i. e. is the BL17 DAC OK ?)

BL 17s have pretty punchy bass. I’m sure a sub would be even better and the BL19 would make sense as they would all then have inbuilt WISA and they should be compatible sound-wise and they were produced and released at the same time. As ever it’s best to listen yourself and see what you prefer.

With my BL18s, you really notice the addition of the 19 at volumes over 60%.

Just got an ex-demo black pair of BL17s
