Hi all, I have just acquired a second hand (but apparently unused) Playmaker MK2, this will be connecting to my Beocenter 2 and Beolab 3's. I've just got round to testing this, I plugged in the network cable and power lead (no speakers attached) and all I seam to get is a white light at the bottom next to the power on/off  that flashes 5 times then the mute button flashes  red once then nothing.I have tried the hard reset by holding the reset button for 5+ seconds and also plugging it directly into my laptop pressing any of the buttons. I get no response from the play maker. Is this a duff unit or am I doing something wrong ?  Also I have downloaded the B&O app (IOS) and when adding a product the Playmaker is not on the list. any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Try entering the IP address ‘http://169.254.11.22’ in the address bar of your internet browser and press ‘Enter’.

N.B. There is not much you can do in the config page - apart from looking for an update.

Have you tried, if the Playmaker is accessable using AirPlay or Chromecast?

Of course you will have to connect loudspeakers first in order to hear sound.

What happens, if you connect something to the line-in connection of the unit?

(I you have a beoremote, can you use that to change volume etc?)

Thanks for the reply,

So far I have tried -

Connecting the Playmaker directly to the laptop via network cable and entering the IP address, no response no connection to webpage

Hard reset - unit does nothing, no lights flash, nothing

I have as you suggested connected the speakers and connected a CD player through the line in, still nothing.

Tried connecting via Airplay, phone does not find the Playmaker.

Tried using Beo 4, nothing happening on the Playmaker.

All I get from the unit, is when it is first switched on at the mains the LED at the bottom flashes white five times then the mute button flashes red once, then nothing.

I have a feeling this may be a faulty unit.

Do I understand you correct - you have connected the Playmaker to your network (router) using a network cable?

The PM should show its webinterface, when you add the above adress in the webbrowser of a a pc/tablet..

And you should have access via AP etc...

Hi thank you for the link, yes connected it to the router via CAT5E, also tried as as per the instructions to connect directly to a laptop. This enable wireless set up via cable. There is no lights on the PM at all apart from the few when first switched on at the mains. I presume the PM should respond when pressing the power button / wireless set up button or the hard reset. But It is not responding at all, with no light indicators Confused
