Hi,
Sure this question has been asked numerous times so apologies, I have tried to research looking at forums etc. I have recently purchased a Beogram 1000, that has been sent off for service/repair. Whilst that is away I am looking at purchasing the amp and speakers. What would People’s suggestion regarding the amp. I was going to try and keep the vintage look and hookup a Beomaster 1000. What do people think and what would people say is a good alternativeThanks in advance.
Hi Mikejones,
If you're after the best sonic combination, I'll let other members answer to you because they know better than me.
But if you're after matching elements "like-in-the-picture-of-the-ad", I suggest to try to download old catalogs from that era and you will find gorgeous pictures of olds Beosytem (like the one attached) which will show you amps, speakers and tape deck as they were advertised when sold new.
The Crowood book "Bang&Olufsen" has also tables to help match components and is full of advices and informations about vintage B&O.
Anyway, congrats and welcome to Beoworld as much than to the B&O world.
