Hey all,

Sorry if this isn't the correct form or procedure to ask this, and feel free to inform me if I should post elsewhere!

I've been able to procure a Beogram 4000 for a very good price (under $50.00 US from an estate sale) and Beomaster 3000 Type 2405 in working condition. I'm replacing the cartridge and working on the 4000 currently to make sure there aren't any major issues.

I understand the 4000 is likely going to be a labor of love, and that some of these systems aren't remotely fixeable, but it is a project I want to take on with full knowledge of the difficulty with these beasts.

Once I get the turntable and preamp working in sync, is there a speaker that typically would be recommended for this setup? I'm trying to keep it period, so a Beovox 5000 MK3 or Beovox S75 might be something I would be interested in. Any direction for you guys would be helpful in getting the best out of this awesome equipment, or direction on what speakers the 3000 would be best suited to power.

Best,

K

Beovox 4700/4702/4703 are great speakers.
They are overlooked for some strange reason, all will need new capacitors (kits exists for this) and most will need refoaming, but in my opinion
they would be a great choice.
Put them on the original trumpet stands and they will also look early 1970s.
