Hey, I just got a relatively cheap Beogram 1000 but nothing will move.
I get electricity through the doughnut shaped thing which I'm assuming is a coil that creates an alternating magnetig field that rotates the other things. I can also hear a low buzz from the coil when I put some electricity across it.
So it feels like either the coil is broken or the rotating thing is. I've read about other people fixing up some of these old machines and a common theme seems to be built up grime and lubrication but I'm not exactly sure what to clean/lubricate and how.
I'm not even sure it's salvageable but figured I'd give it a shot.
PS. I've read most of the relevant threads I could find but I get a bit lost in technical jargon.
Check if the rotor is moving freely, if not take the motor apart and clean and lubricate the bearings. Maybe this thread can help. https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/14600.aspx
