My dealer and I are just completing my bedroom installation, which consists of a BeoVision 4-65 driven by a BeoSystem 3. The TV (and its accompanying speakers – BeoLab 14 in 5.1 configuration) is working normally, but refuses to turn off properly.
When you turn it off, the electronic curtains close as usual, but instead of going black the screen continues to glow a faint grey and the fans continue to whirr. Sometimes a thin white stripe flashes across the screen just after the curtains close. The BS3 itself turns off, so clearly the signal isn't getting through properly to the screen – a significant problem, given that this is a bedroom installation and I need complete darkness at night.
Does anybody know why this is happening? My sitting room TV (a BeoVision 4-103 connected to a different BS3) turns off without any problems, so is the bedroom setup suffering from incorrect settings or a cabling problem?
