Hej,

The Beolab 3 is a great speaker and it plays really well together with Beolab 19 if set up correctly.

You can change the Playmaker to a Beosound Core in order to update the source for your Beolab 3s and still use Powerlink interface, but bass management is not part of the Beosound Core functionality as far as I know.

If you want to add a beolab 19 to your setup, I would recommend to also add a Beolab transmitter 1 for bass management and Beolab Receiver 1 for the beolab 3s. With wireless setup the beolab transmitter 1 will then send sound below 120Hz to the Beolab 19 and sound above 120Hz to the Beolab 3s.

I currently use this setup and it works very well.

Thanks - how do you stream from say your phone to this setup?

As I understand the transmitter 1 does not support airplay etc?

Hi

The setup use both BS Core and BL Transmitter 1. Streaming is done to the core which again is connected by cable to the BL transmitter. The transmitter then does bass management and sends bass to the BL19 and the rest to the BL3s.

The bass management functionality will work for stereo and is activated by a switch on the BL transmitter. All three speakers must be wirelessly connected.

In this setup the BS Core can be replaced by any audio source you like, but if you want support for airplay the Core is a good alternative. Sonos connect does not support airplay as far as I know.
