Hi all,

First time poster here. Would appreciate any advice. Moving house soon and the main room has a recess in the wall which can hold a 65 inch panel but not fit my original wish to get an Eclipse. Thinking of buying the most Up to date LG panel and matching with Beolab 18 and 19 and maybe some 17’s later for the rear. Problem I have is how I can get a central channel to work... would this have to be through the TV or is there any other option. Would appreciate any insights and advice to get the best sound. FYI, I have a BV11 with Beolab 14 just now and the centre channel performance through the BV 11 main speaker is great.... I don’t want the sound to be inferior in the new setup.

Best,

Robert

The new LG TVs are WISA capable, requiring a WISA dongle - B&O dealers will be able to provide both LG screen and dongle soon.

Also the new LG models have an app that allows you to use a BeoRemote if you want

However, with the WISA dongle you will need a separate centre channel (WISA capable as well).....and there is the issue. B&O don’t do a WISA capable centre channel. There’s supposed to be a sound bar coming, though no one knows the exact spec yet.

Long story short, we’ll be in a place soon where you can use LG TVs with (some) B&O speakers and a BeoRemote, though you may have to wait a few months to get there

Pity we have to settle with wisa and all it’s quirks. Especially in crowded networks. A breakout box to powerlink from arc would be perfect. I really wish for and have hoped for some time that n”B&O start selling a soundcenter like the one in the eclipse without the screen itself. Would make a lot of sense I believe. And they could easily design beautiful stands in the future too with a vesa grip for any screen. But I guess they are afraid of doing so.

Agreed, though from what I understand you will get what you asked for pretty much (dont know about the VESA aspect).

But not till next year.

The upcoming sound bar is supposed to be a much simpler product, just in case some remain confused.
