Hello,

I was wondering if there is a way to connect a beosound ouverture  to a Beomaster 4000 or 3000.

I've connected a five-pin din from one of the speaker ports top the din tape input.  It's okay, but regardless of which speaker port I use,  sound emerges from the right speaker only,  with a vague hint of sound on the left.  Have I connected this incorrectly? Is there a better cable to use?

If you just want to get the sound from one to the other, then connect din/tape/aux input of one to the din/tape/aux input of the other.  5 pin DIN 'aux' sockets are usually outputs as well as line level inputs.

The 'speakers ports' that you have tried to use as outputs are actually Powerlink outputs - wired so that each socket carried both L and R channels.  These will not work in your configuration.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried hooking the Beosound to the ole Beomaster as you suggested. I got the same result as using the speaker out/powerlink ports. I spoke with a fella at Sounds Heavenly, and he assured me his magic, hand crafted 5-pin din cable is exactly what I need for this job.

We will see how that works once it arrives from the UK. Could be snake oil. Could be the Beosound is broken.

So it goes
