Hello all, I recently purchased a beocenter2 not realising it didnt come with a cable box. Does anyone have one for sale? Im currently in France, but im interested in purchasing one from any country.

If you have there are a few versions of the control unit so you will need to identify which one is suitable first.

I have a Type No 2801 Item No 1280014 with SW 1.3 Headunit. So I guess one of the early ones?
Also. make sure it's not stolen...

I hope its not!, i bought it from a popular dutch auction house.
I suggest you ask B&O. If you give them the serialnumber, they can look it up in their register of stolen goods.Sadly - quite common to see cables cut in a hurry, not realizing that there is more to it than just the head unit.
It's a mk1 version, the one without the "click" noise when you touch the keyboard,
These are not locked with a pincode, that depends only when on the socket.

If you are interested, I do have a Beocenter 2 ( incl. cable box ) working perfectly - for sale. I can offer you different sizes of PL cables, BEO 4 remote with the "GO" knob, extra cabel for head unit and cable box and wall mount for the cable box. The Beocenter 2 has DAB module and you will have a small active indoor DAB-antenna included....... :o) You can have it all for DKK 2995,00

Hi beobudy, without the cable box and any cables is it possible to hear the click? (ie. is it mechanical? or electrical?) As Ive just tried and i cant hear the click)

I think you have null option to check head unit operations without black socket box and connecting cale.
Hi Martin, I contact B&O directly and sadly they were not able to help with regards if the unit is stolen. They suggested I contact my local B&O dealer which I have, but as of yet (4 days later) I havent heard back. Im in France and sadly even B&O customer service here is pretty poor.

Just an update, its been over a month now and still havent heard back from my local B&O store here in France!

Hi all. sorry to raise such an old thread. But i'm still no closer to locating a socket unit to go with my headunit. Just to confirm what socket unit do I need? as I have a Type No 2801 Item No 1280014 with SW 1.3 Headunit.
If im unable to buy a socket unit, is anyone out there interested in buying a beocenter2 headunit with table stand. Its in flawless physical condition. But sadly im unable to confirm if its in working condition.

thanks for that beozip! I had almost given up on finding one. I actually bought a complete beocenter2 the other day from portugal that i should get any day now. I was going to use the socket unit to test my main unit. Im still not 100% sure what socket unit I need for main unit though. Any idea?

Just to let you know, I took a gamble and bought another beocenter 2 with socket unit. The socket unit of this newly purchased beocenter 2 works with my other master unit. It didnt any configuring, just plug and play. So now I have 2 working beocenter 2 master units and one socket unit. Any out there need a working master unit?
