I have just purchased a beosound overture on ebay. It was linked to a video system with master link cable.

Now I have got it home it won't respond to any of my beo4 remotes. Do I need to re enable it somehow. The remotes do work my Avant perfectly. If I hook up the overture with ML cable to the avant the remote seems to control both TV and audio.

The previous owner cant help as it was her late fathers.

any help would be welcomed.

You need to put it in the right mode. Factory setting is mode 1.

On the Beolink 1000 you push sound, 1, store. The Ouverture needs to be in stand by when doing that.

I don't remember how to od it with Beo4. It's in the manual, available for silver and gold members.

It is in Audio Option 0.  On a Beo 4, press 'stand by' and hold while tapping List.  This will put the Beo 4 in its management mode.  Use up-down arrows on the remote to find "Option?" press GO.  Use up-down to find A. Opt while that is blinking press 1.  The LED on the Overture should blink to acknowledge the command and ought to work from then on.

Please note that if you are going to use it in the same room with your Avant, then it is intended to act as it does now.  If it is going in a different room, and you want to be able to hear analog sound from the Avant's sources then set it to A. Opt 2 instead of 1.

We kid because we love.
