Hello again, I'm about to order a BV11-46 (silver/black) for my parents (they have a black 32" Avant).

Tomorrow is the day.

If I'm correct, price asked is 9.100 € for Tv, motorised stand, beo4 and one stb bracket.

I thought it should be cheaper than that, cheaper than Bv10 but that's not cheaper !

What do you think ?

Cheers,

Gregory

Local dealers are selling the BV10-46 for a special price to have space for the new BV11.

Gregory,

The BV10-46 is a fantastic TV still. Your parents will be very happy.

HOWEVER, you do not need to pay more than about 5.500€ for a shop demo model - that all they can deliver anyway.

Kind regards

Ole

Hi Gregory,

congratulations to you and your parents, may they enjoy their very nice and new BV 11-46 once it has arrived Yes - thumbs up!

Look at this thread please. It is in german, unfortunately, but if you go to my post, second on this side, you see the calculation of Beovision 10-46 vs.11-46. So it is cheaper, mainly because you distract the series components and additions at BV 11-46 which have been all extras for BV 10-46, it´s like in the car manufacturer´s industry. The comparable car is the same or even cheaper, but in total you pay more because of the richer equipment. Concerning BV 11-46 it is the case that even after distraction you have pluses like wireless and 3 D, 6 HDMI, etc.

If you look to posts 6 - 8 on this side, there are the prices listed in Germany for BV 11-40, -46 and -55 and aditional equipment. The article numbers should be the same internationally, I guess.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Rolf

Thanks a lot guys, thanks a lot Rolf.

I'm really going for a Bv11 for my parents, I have a Bv10 and whant the new "style" and sound for them.

If I understand correctly, the Bv11 I'll order should cost 7.500 € (tv + antireflex + dvb hd + beo4) + 800 € for motorised stand + approx 320 € for stb bracket = 8.620 € not 9.100 €.

I will clarify the situation tomorrow.

And if your parents are using a BeoSound via masterlink, you have to spend add. 700 bucks for the masterlink converter.

2 weeks ago, I bought the 10-46 shop demo for a very good price - round 2k less the the BV11-46. Dude, for 2k I have to work so many hours! The BV11 is a option for me, but not before 2-3 years.

My ol' mum and dad have a Beosound Ouverture they never use and (like me) a pair of Beolab 8000.

I haven't thought about getting a bv10-46 and "connect" the 8000 for extra sound.

Good idea !

Wait and see...

I just bought a BV11-55 and connected it a DVD player and AppleTV. Propped up in its box, while await installation at the end of this week. This, and it goes for the 11-46 too, is quite an improvement on the 10-46 in tems of sound and picture. I was surprised looking at the 10-46 side by side with a 11-46. So your parents will indeed be happy. I decided not to connect external speakers as the sound of the TV is quite impressive on its own. And of course no offense to BV10 owners.

Rxcohen,

oh my god a BV11-55, congratulations!

After my wife has had inspected the price tag of the BV11-46 and BV11-55 and I looked in her face it was clear the only way was the shop demo BV10-46 for me. I think with the BV11 I had to watch TV in the cellar, without food and love for the next months. But for sure in 2-3 years the BV11 would be mine.

Have a great time with your new monster panel.

Thank you...

Will definitely post some pictures once it is set up, hopefully Friday. The funny thing it is my wife who wanted to buy the 1-55 once we saw it at the store. I was all set on the 11-46. I had been looking at the 7-40, but now the 7 series seems quite antiquated.

The 55 screen is huge, and as a consequence it does provide a very cinematic experience. And you do need at least 4m sitting distance I found, otherwise it looks overwhelming. Last night I watched Prometheus on bluray 2D and it was incredible. The only downside is that bluray is so impressive that it is difficult watching plain HD or non-HD on this TV.

Enjoy the 10-46 and the new 11-46...

That's it, BV11-46 for parents is ordered. Should be on is motorised stand saturday the 15th.

So french list price is 8.945 € (tv + motorised stand + beo4) + 180 € for stb bracket (not 320 € !).

It was initially 9.100 € with a 150 € installation bill (first installation bill in my life after 18 years of B & O purchases, is that the crisis effect ?).

Of course I'll be here to open the big box.

Cheers,

Gregory.

Hi Gregory,

so french prices seem to be a little above german listings. However, congratulations again!

I'm very curious, what you will have to tell after first impressions. Please, let us know!

P. S.: Usually, if you get/take no discount from the dealer here, he will give you no extra bill for installation, still.

Kind regards,

Rolf

I was told yesterday by my local dealer that the price of the BV11 will raise in April. Unfortnatly he did not say by how much and as I was parked on double yellow lines just picking up something did not have time to talk to him about it more!

That's it, BV 11-46 (aluminum / black) is installed at my parents place in France.

Excellent first impressions.

Picture is superb with HD source (less with SD - nothing new here apart that I think that my BV 10 is better in SD), sound is very good, I will let the speakers a little run in time.

I played a lot with the settings, especially the sound ones, because my father what's a rich warm sound "à la" Avant.

Difficult, because sometimes it's better with "film" setting, sometimes "music".

I had a "problem" with "film mode" that I wanted off and couldn't find it in the menu. But I finally found it, it isn't called "film mode" anymore (saccades in french - jerk ?).

I loved the smart tv function, Youtube quality both picture and sound is outstanding.

What's nice compared to BV 10, is that when you press "menu" on the remote, there's only one menu with the tv settings on top and the source (stb, dvd, ps3...) settings under, no need to press menu twice to access source menu.

Will I go for a BV 11 myself as a BV 10 owner ? Don't think so. Aesthetically they really look similar and technically I'm very happy with what I have, I even think that BV 10 as a good sound after nearly three years of use.

A quick very bad pic from an I phone...

Gregory
