Hello all,

I am in need of some advice,

I am looking for a 2nd hand BS1 (old) CD/Radio player.

Not all of them come with the pincode and one seller actually informed me that older models didn’t have one?

Any confirmation on that?

I've had BS1's for reapir and can confirm that there are versions with pincode. This is an option whether it's set or not.

The original manual mentions nothing about a pincode, so you can assume that the first are without pincode.

When pincode is activated the "PIN" appears behind the alu grill.

Its such a long time ago but some products had pin code but it wasn't active when it left the factory. It was customer choice if they wished to use the security feature.

It was after this period that products with PIN were then active from the factory.

There where two variants of the beautiful Beosound 1:
- Beosound 1 MK1: no Pincode
- Beosound 1 MK2: Pincode

Well, i picked up the unit today. Radio, CD worked, Display worked all buttons worked and so did the antenna.

Just showed it at home briefly and was still working. Will know more next week when I will have it at work where I will use it as radio primarly. It came with BT dongle as well so I can stream to the unit as well.

It came with a faulty Beo4 where the off (red) button doesnt work - any tips on how to go about here?
