Hi Everyone, New to this so please bear with me. Bought my first b&O in 1983 and would buy nothing else until 2005. My last unit was an Overture which I stupidly sold. I have now acquired another (nostalgia and a wish to but vinyl again). Can someone advise me about equipment I can plug into AUX so that I can have play via wifi from phone or tablet?
Chromecast audio is a slam dunk!
There is a more elaborate way where you cast to the FM radio.. Which is pretty cool and true multiroom!

Welcome to Beoworld! I agree with Beovox141, Chromecast Audio is superb, also Apple Airport Express is great if you mainly use Apple products. I haven't tried the FM transmitter idea, but I know in the UK this is only legal for "low power" devices that typically transmit just within one room.

It is a very convenient way of bringing the old Beomasters "online" The transmitter (20€) shown will cover approximately 500m2 without antenna, and you can have as many "channels" as you wish.

I have several more professional units, but they are honestly to powerful and very difficult to throttle down. This one is just right and extremely cheap considering its bought in a store in Denmark. I basically bought it out of curiosity, but it turned out to work just fine, perhaps i should do a teardown and post some pictures. As I said i works without even hooking up an antenna, but for another 70dkk you can get a car antenna the same place.
I am using this trick (just the modulator) to "link" many parts of my "Beoworld" together as long as there is an available line output on the device, it can be made available to the entire house, car and garden, in complete sync and without delay. And the thing I really like is the fact that it makes all the vintage gear the like BM 6000, 8000 or 1900 work like they were intended: Great FM receivers. And at the same time anything they have connected is available to all the newer stuff.
It so simple and oldschool it almost makes you laugh. Set up properly you will have a hard time spotting the difference in quality between a CD and FM!
Let me know if you need more advice or tricks, I have played with this since age 14
We (opus.org) provide to rebuild the classical Ouverture music system (beside many other iconic B&O systems),
so that this design beauty would better fit in our modern digital age.
We include a newly designed internal controller card an external iPod-Dock - with a minimal Apple lightning plug on its side
(so it looks like B&O itself has simply build in a touchscreen in your Ouverture system).
Now, you could control the Ouverure and its internal iPod via ...
(1) your classical B&O remote control beo4 or remote one,
(2) simply touching the iPods display and interact with every App,
(3) remotely from some other B&O device on your masterlink,
(4) from your original internal Ouverture's display and keyoard
(5) from the small B&O Keyring A9 (we replace the metal kering by Italian leather, so it looks
more like a modern design gadget which you use to control your whole Ouverture + iPod system by only three keys)
(6) gestures: you simply have to wave your hands in fonrt of the ouverture (doors open), but now you wave the right
amount of time (not too short, not too long) and the Ouverture starts and plays your last title (whether on radio, CD, or iPod)
So in case you have stressful job and simply want to start some music with no technical layer/burden at all, you simply wave
and that is it.
We are alo provide to replace the internal preamplifier in most of the classical B&O systems (including the Ouverture), which
increases the quality of the music playback on a whole new level :-)

Is this the classic Tape hack or did you do an entirely new controller or just add on?
Are you referring to the original B&O keyring, how did you make that control your system, new controller?
You also get bluetooth "cassettes" that allow you to broadcast from an iphone into the tape drive. Certainly I'd recommend saving the AUX socket for something else, either a 3mm cable (so you can plug into devices with a headphone jack) or maybe pick up a record player to put on a nearby cabinet. In the case of the latter make sure it's a deck with a built-in pre-amp

a completely new high-end controller card for the Ouverture (industrial manufacted) :-)
Some of its highlights:
- new 24 bit DAC (Digitl-to-analog-Converter)
- all signals from the iPod are completely decoupled from the Ouverture (no background hiss, perfect zero signal)
this is done by highend circuits (used in medical equipment)
- new driver of Ouverture's small internal display
- new Masterlink controller (for seamless integration of the connected iPod)
- fast navigation through of all of your Playlists, Album, Artists, genre (only by beo4's up and down keys)
the actual name together with a small icon (artist, album, playlist, genre) is also rendered in Ouverture's internal display
- additional control via A9 keyring
- Album Cover is always on (on iPod's screen) and does not vanished after some seconds
