Hi,
Some years ago I updated my BL3500 to SW 2.1 in order to support N.RADIO and N.MUSIC, by changing the microcomputer PCB.
Now I got another BL3500 and that one have old SW. Anyone knows if it's still possible to by the microcomputer PCB with newer / latest SW. And form where can you buy this?
Regards,
Ken
I asked my dealer a few years ago and he advised that it's no longer available from B&O.
Maybe not in the USA, but I bought one last year from AVS in the UK.
Hi frog
Do you have a link to AVS or contact info to them?
Try this: https://www.avaservices.co.uk/

You dealer is correct that 2.x software / uP module for the earlier BL3500 is no longer available, but you can upgrade these to 3.33 using part number 8002944.
This part is intended for the later wireless enabled BL3500 models with powerlink socket and wireless support, but will work fine with the earlier BL3500 models too, you will just lose the ability to use MCL (Masterlink will work fine though).
Hope this helps...
Martin.
Hi Martin,
But it seams that 2.0 does nut supper N.RADIO and N.MUSICC and that you need 2.1 or above for that.
Do you know if 3.33 uP PCB is still available then?
Yes, the v3.33 microprocessor is still available from B&O under the part number in my previous post, and it will work in the earlier BS3500 models (without powerlink socket), but there is no MCL support in this firmware, so the 3500 be ML only from that point onwards - but I'm guessing this is unlikely to be a problem if you're wanting it for N.RADIO/N.MUSIC support.
I've mainly installed this module where there was a ML gateway in the setup as 3.33 supports the ML gateway (as well as N.RADIO and N.MUSIC).
The part is unfortunately more expensive than the older 2.x microprocessor was though.
CORRECTION: current version is 3.34, not 3.33 (but the part number is still the same).
Many thanks for the info. It’s exactly the setup I have. Some BL3500 on ML, and a NL/ML gateway to my TV.
Do you know the approx. price for the 3.34 PCB. ?
